Die cut printing

Die cutting is one of the most common methods for making a print unique, giving it a distinctive shape. In this way round flyers and shelf talkers or advertising material and packaging with more complicated shapes can be made. Die cutting is done using a die, with which it is also possible to cut large quantities of printed material into special shapes.

Requirements for the die file

The die drawing may be submitted as a separate file or the die cut line designated with a spot colour (such as the die-cut), to which overprint is designated. Die cut lines are marked with various spot colours: cutting blades = red (for example Tera) creasing lines = green (for example Nuut) perforations = yellow (for example Perfo)
